I was blessed to grow up in South Texas in the 50s, 60s, & 70s, where we headed out to great County Dance Halls on a Friday or Saturday night, and spent our time with the best Friends two-steppin' the night away. This EP features 5 of my favorite Country dance songs. As always, many thanks to my fellow Crew Members Jo Vonna Hill and Kevin Weishaar for providing Background Vocals on this EP. I was truly blessed to grow up in South Texas in the 50’s & 60’s, when country music was truly “Country”. We spent our Friday and Saturday nights dancing in historic Dance Halls like Hubert’s Danceland in Rivera, Moravian Hall in Corpus Christi, Community Hall in Robstown, The Rifle Club in Orange Grove, The Roundup in Skidmore, Schroeder Hall in Victoria, and the VFW in Alice. Whether it was a Waltz, Two-Step, Cottoneyed Joe, Polka, or The Whip, you danced a thousand miles across those waxed hardwood floors over the years, and made lifelong Friendships that still exist today. We hope you enjoy our tribute to Honky Tonkin’ Dance Music.
