From the recording COOL FREDDIE E & THE CREW - VOLUME II
"Songbird" is a popular song by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac. It first appeared on the 1977 album Rumours and was released as the B-side of the single "Dreams". It is one of four songs written solely by Christine McVie on the album. Eva Cassidy's version of "Songbird" was released in 1998 on her posthumous compilation album of the same name. Despite being released two years after her death from melanoma, the album eventually reached number 1 in the UK in 2001. The version performed by Jo Vonna Hill on "COOL FREDDIE E & THE CREW - VOLUME II" is Cassidy's version of the song.

"SONGBIRD" LYRICS
EVA CASSIDY - 1998
Performed by Jo Vonna Hill
For you they'll be no crying
For you the sun will be shining
Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It’s alright - I know it's right
And the songbirds are singing like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before
(Instrumental)
To you I would give the world
To you I'll never be cold
Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It’s alright - I know it's right
And the songbirds are singing like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before
Like never before
