From the recording COOL FREDDIE E & THE CREW - VOLUME II
"Ain't That a Kick in the Head?" is a pop song written in 1960 with music by Jimmy Van Heusen and lyrics by Sammy Cahn. It was first recorded on May 10, 1960, by Dean Martin in a swinging big band jazz arrangement conducted by Nelson Riddle. Van Heusen and Cahn wrote the song specifically for the 1960 film Ocean's 11, though it was initially referred to press as "Ain't That a Kick in the Seat".[1] Dean Martin's single was released before the film, which premiered on August 10, 1960.

"AIN'T THAT A KICK IN THE HEAD" LYRICS
DEAN MARTIN - 1960
PERFORMED BY KEVIN WEISHAAR & COOL FREDDIE E
How lucky can one guy be,
I kissed her and she kissed me.
Like the fella once said,
Ain't that a kick in the head.
The room was completely black,
I hugged her and she hugged back.
Like the sailor said quote,
"Ain't that a hole in the boat".
My head keeps spinnin’,
I go to sleep and keep grinnin’.
If this is just the beginnin’,
My life's gonna be beea-utiful.
I've sunshine enough to spread,
It's just like the fella said.
Tell me quick, ain't love a kick in the head.
(INSTRUMENTAL)
Like the fella once said,
Ain't that a kick in the head.
Like the sailor said quote,
“Ain't that a hole in the boat".
My head keeps spinning,
I go to sleep and keep grinning.
If this is just the beginning,
My life's gonna be beea-utiful.
She's telling me we'll be wed,
She's picked out a king size bed.
I couldn't feel any better or I'd be sick.
Tell me quick, oh ain't love a kick,
Tell me quick, ain't love a kick in the head.
