Cool Freddie E
Cool Freddie E (aka: Fred Elliff) has had a lifelong love affair with music and performing. Growing up in South Texas, was heavily influenced by the sounds of various music genres, including early Rock & Roll, Classic Rock, Classic Country, Pop, Easy Listening, Motown, and the Blues. Over the years, raising a family took center stage, and he performed only on a limited basis. Finally, with his children grown and off to college, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream. Fred became Cool Freddie E, and went about searching for performers that shared his love for the music that made lasting memories in people’s lives. God truly blessed him by placing Kevin Weishaar, Jenna Burns, and Chelsey Hood in his life, and Cool Freddie E & The Crew was born. All members of the group are incredibly talented vocalists, and bring a diversity to their shows that is unmatched by any other vocal group. Their shows include Oldies, Classic Rock, Country, Pop, Blues, Motown, Jazz, and Easy Listening favorites that offer something for everyone in their audience. Cool Freddie E knows that he is a fortunate man. He is the leader of an incredible vocal group that gets to perform some of the greatest music ever written. Cool Freddie E & The Crew are truly blessed with wonderful friends and fans. He is getting to live his dream of “Keepin’ The Music Alive Forever”. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Raised in the small northwest Kansas town of Colby, Kevin is the second oldest of seven children. Even though his parents were not musically inclined and none of is brothers or sisters became singers or musicians, Kevin developed a love for music in grade school. He sang in choirs and musicals throughout high school and was selected to sing with the Kansas All-State Choir as a senior. He went on to sing with choirs and mixed groups through junior college and at Kansas State University. Since college, Kevin has sung with various church groups and for many weddings. In 2007, Fred Elliff asked Kevin to help out with singing for a benefit for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Since then Kevin and Cool Freddie E and the Crew have been singing all over south Texas. Kevin performs almost every Michael Buble song recorded. He also sings country tunes of Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Clay Walker, John Michael Montgomery, and George Strait. Only time will tell what new musical numbers are added to his repertoire. Cool Freddie E says, “Kevin is one of the most talented people I’ve ever met. He performs some of the most beautiful Pop and Easy Listening music ever written and makes it his own. He is Cool reborn!”
Chelsey Hood is the newest member of Cool Freddie E & the Crew. She sang into her first microphone at the ripe old age of 2, and has been attached to one ever since! Raised in San Antonio, Texas, she fell in love with musical theater after getting a lead role in a San Pedro Playhouse children’s musical at age 12. After winning the Senior Division in a Time Warner sponsored talent competition at 15, Chelsey went on to perform at numerous venues in the San Antonio area, including the AT&T Center, Fort Sam Houston, the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, and Fiestas Patrias. She was a member of MacArthur High School’s Premier Show Choir, and had key roles in Music Man, West Side Story, and Fiddler on the Roof. Chelsey’s greatest musical theatre experience was playing “Belle” in San Antonio College’s professional production of “Beauty and the Beast”. She was awarded a scholarship and graduated from the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City in 2010. Since moving to Houston in 2011, Chelsey has performed at Maggiano’s, the Houston Fire Fighters Graduation, and numerous charity events benefiting the American Cancer Society. Chelsey is also professional make-up artist and an outstanding comedienne. She joined Cool Freddie E & The Crew in November 2011. Cool Freddie E says, “Chelsey is just the total package. She brings an incredible energy to our performances. Whether belting out soulful blues, performing the hottest current country hits, or electrifying the audience with get-up-on-your-feet rock, Chelsey Hood is the real deal, Baby!”
